Just to give you a general idea of the game, Gem Slider Deluxe is a brain-teaser with colorful interface and rather catchy game play.

The point is to solve puzzles on the cosmic background. However, first of all I have to warn you: this is a meditative puzzle, i.e. the puzzle that is all about concentration, taking decisions at a balanced pace, and gradual advancing through the number of levels.

So, arcade fans and professional clickers are most likely to search for another game.  But if you're the one who loves thinking when playing, I'd better go on...

The rules are pretty simple. In order to clear the playing field you are to place four gems of the same color in a row.

Use your mouse to control the game. As you play, you will see the multicolored gems spread over the playfield. Along each side of the field there are rows of gems to be used for shooting. After a shot or two they change their color.

In order to clear the playing field you are to place four gems of the same color side by side. To shoot, click a side gem - and it will slide to the opposite part of the field

If there are no gems on its way, it can reach the destination. However, if there's a gem on its way- it should fly as far as this gem and stop.  So, the point is to place four gems of the same color together by creating the colormatches of four and more gems.

The good thing about this game is that all sorts of matches are accepted: horizontal, verticals, even those of square shape. Except, maybe diagonal. 

After completing each level in Sky Quest, you receive truly interesting info on the constellation and can tackle your brain with another interesting puzzle on the next level.  

Like in the outer space, sometimes there are "black holes" in the center of the playing field, sometimes, there are several of them each close to the corner of the play field.

Black holes are cells that are  empty and cannot be used for gem matching. Thus, they prevent you from matching gems.

Once in a while, you get a remedy against those black holes.

At the sides of the playfield there are white missiles to be used instead of gems. Send one of them to the hole - and it will be restored into the normal cell of the playing field.

Plus - there are small hurricanes to be used for removing the gem combinations that seem too complicated for a player. Shoot the most difficult parts of the play field with them - and they will clear the field.

Gem Slider Deluxe, just like Sudoku or Cross Word, is played by the audience whose greatest game play value is concentration.

Each of three modes are played at the same pace - thoroughly, accurately and unhurriedly. 

The only thing I dislike about the game is its pace, which is extremely slow for those who tried arcade games at least once in their life.

However, I warned you in the beginning that Gem Slider Deluxe, just like Sudoku or Cross Word is played by the audience whose greatest gameplay value is concentration.
