SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Bubble Flytrix is compatible with COLOR devices working under Palm OS 3.5 or above: Palm IIIc, Palm m505, Visor Prism, Sony PEG N700C, Sony PEG N710C and others.

For non color devices, please download the relevant version of the program.

INTRODUCTION

Do you like to shoot with bubbles? The bubble flies upward, touches others of the same color and they burst!!! Bang! Bang! Bang!... And you wish to shoot with two and even three bubbles at the same time... This arcade gives you such possibility!
You do not like to play Tetrix and Columns because you don't have enough patience to control the falling pieces? This game offers you more time to prepare for a shot at the simple levels !
You are a master at Tetris-like games and you want something unusual? This game tickles your nerves filling with bubbles the playing field as a penalty for misfires.
The given game contains three games united by the common rules, but each of them has its own peculiarities and even different playing fields and flying pieces!
The higher is the level you play at, the more dynamic the game becomes!We advise you to play at Expert and Master levels a little , to pick the most appropriate level of dynamism.

DOWNLOADING

To download Bubble FlyTrix, use the standard Palm Desktop HotSync process or equivalent to install BFlyTrix.prc on your device.

PLAYING THE GAME

At the start of the game the line of the color bubbles appears at the left part of the field, there are color bubbles at the bottom. You can guide the piece of three (or two) bubbles which strives upward, using the keys. The key Date Book - to the left, Address - to the right, Page Down - rotate, Page Up - drop, MemoPad - Game Menu (and pause). You can change the keys in the window "Define Keys". Your score, game level (N - novice, E - expert, M - master), and the next piece are shown at the right bottom corner. In the right top corner, there is a figure of misfires before the new lines appear.

The peculiarities of bubbles' flight

All bubbles strive upward, until they stumble upon other bubbles or the edge of the playing field. In Triad Game bubbles strive upward until they stumble upon two bubbles.

Score calculation
You receive 10 points for the first exploded bubble, for the second - 20, for the third - 30 and so on.

Misfires
If you burst less than three bubbles at once, the counter decreases by one, when it becomes equal to zero - the sequential portion of bubbles is shot to the playing field. The number of misfires cyclically varies from the maximum to one (the maximum number depends on the level of the game). At the beginning a maximum number of misfires is given to you, then the maximum number is - 1, then - 2, etc.

Color shoot-out
If you shoot out all the bubbles of some color, say red, no more red bubbles will appear on the board. This would ease things considerably, of course. However, the number of shot bubbles increases, be attentive.

Bonus
You receive a bonus of 1,000 points for the first color shoot-out, 2,000 - for the second, and so on. As a result, at the end of the game (if you shoot out all the bubbles, that is) you receive 210,00 bonus points plus the number of points scored by you in the course of the game.

INTERFACE

Icon
You can find the game under this icon on your device.

Splash screen

However good-looking it is, after a hundred launches you are going to be sick of the splash screen. That's why you can interrupt it, just pointing with stylus at any place on the board.

Window "Menu"

You can call Menu right from the game, clicking the button Menu on your device, or press the hard key in the game ( Memo Pad). It also appears at first launching of the game.

CONTINUE - appears if you have an unfinished game.
NEW GAME - launches new game. Attention ! If the game is not finished it will be interrupted without any warning. Be careful not to loose your game. Also, there is option AUTORUN for game (see below)
OPTIONS - game options
HELP - here you can receive short help and information about us.
TOP 10 - here your best results, which you can publish on the net, are stored
BUY ME - information how to register the game (*)
REGISTER - the form for entering the registration info (*)
EXIT - to quit the game (you can quit the game clicking the button applications from any window of the program

(*) - these items will be removed from the Menu after registration

Attention! All windows except the main one are dialogs. You can leave them using buttons (OK) and (CANCEL).

Window "Options"

You can set up your preferences in the window "OPTIONS". To change the option's value, just click the appropriate option name

GAME - (Column game, Deuce game, Triad game) type of the game with its peculiarities of playing field and bubbles' flight (see above)
LEVEL - here you can change the game level (novice, expert, master) (*)
DEFINE KEYS - to call the dialogue window to change the keys (see below)
SOUND - here you can tune the sound volume
AUTORUN - the option that allows you to start the game without the splash screen and menu (after the program launching you go directly to the playing field) (*)

(*) - these options are active in the registered version of the game .

Window "Define Keys"

You can change the keys to your taste just tap with the stylus the icon of the appropriate key. We arranged bubbles in the same way as the buttons are placed on your device, that's why we hope it is not difficult for you to identify them :)
Be attentive, saving the new setting is possible only when you set up all the 5 playing keys. The meanings of actions:

NONE - no action.
LEFT - move to the left
RIGHT - move to the right
ROTATE - piece rotation or cyclical change of the bubble color (in Column game)
DROP - quick piece movement upward
MENU - to call Menu, you can use this action for Pause.

Status messages will help you to set up the keys correctly.

Window "TOP 10"

You can look at best game results in this window. All three games use one united score table!

NOVICE/MASTER/EXPERT - this button displays the results for different levels
PUBLISH - this button opens the window with the code for publishing the best result on the Web

Window "PUBLISH"
Shows the information needed to publish the best result in the chosen level on the Web. Attention! Please be careful when filling the code in the publish form at our site.

REGISTRATION

After the registration:

The reminder window "BUY ME" will not nag you any more.

Registered users have the following advantages:

unlimited expert or master levels
to launch the game in autorun mode (without splash screen or menu displaying)
to preserve the running game when you quit the program
to keep the points in the table of top scores

Window "BUY ME"
It contains the information about where and how you can register the game. This window appears also as the reminder in the course of the game, with growing frequency.

Window "REGISTER"

Enter your first name, last name and license code. You can choose the line tapping it with the stylus, the cursor (a blinking bubble) will show the line where you are now. When you begin typing, the prompts (FIRST/LAST NAME, REG CODE) will disappear.
Typing is done by means of the virtual keyboard, where the special buttons mean:

- space
- backspace (deletes of the symbol before the cursor)
- deletes the whole line
