Rotate Mania 2 is new version adding high resolution graphics, enhanced sound effects and music.
Rotate Mania is a popular puzzle game with new and cool features. Variety of combinations and
strategies make the game more addictive. So, do not start playing if you have some important
appointments today ;) The game contains three different modes: STRIP MANIA, SHIFT MANIA and
TIME MANIA. Some kinds of skins are sure to make your gameplay more and more interesting.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
"Rotate Mania 2" works on the systems based on PalmOS 4.0
and later platforms that support screen resolution
320x320 and 65000 colors: Sony Clie PEG-SJ30,
PEG-T665C, PEG-T650C, PEG-NR70, PEG-NR70V, PEG-T600C, PEG-T615C,
PEG-T625C, PEG-N770C, PEG-N760C, PEG-N750C, PEG-N610C, PEG-NZ90,
PEG-NX70V, PEG-NX60.
This game works also under PalmOS 5.0 and later: Palm Tungsten T
and others coming in the near future.
INTRODUCTION
You can learn to play "Rotate Mania" in a minute but if you want to win
- you will need to try hard :).
The goal is simple - to clear all the triangles from the board, turning the squares
clockwise or in another direction with the stylus. If your form figure containing four or
more triangles of the same color, that will then disappear. You can play "Rotate Mania" in
three different modes: STRIP, SHIFT or TIME.
EVERYTHING IS SIMPLE! BUT... In SHIFT mode if the figure disappears, one new small triangle will
fall into the line at the bottom. When the bottom line is full it will be lifted to your board
and a new game round will begin. If the squares reach the top of the board the game is over. In
TIME mode the bottom line is gradually filling with triangles that form squares. If the squares
reach the top of the board the game is over.
It's rather difficult to classify this game. This is surely a board
game, it's a puzzle (you have to think
hard before turning squares), it's a strategy (each player can
choose his own strategy to score a great number of points and complete the game).
So, the genre of this game you can choose for yourself...
DOWNLOADING
To download "Rotate Mania 2", use the standard Palm DeskTop HotSync process
or equivalent to install RMania.prc on your device.
Attention! For a perfect work of the game please
install: for Sony Clie - RManiaClie.prc, for PalmOS 5 - RManiaOS5.prc.
PLAYING THE GAME
You can play "Rotate Mania" in three different modes: STRIP, SHIFT or TIME. Each mode contains
three skill levels: NOVICE (two colors), EXPERT (tree colors) and MASTER (four colors).
Watching Demo will help you to understand the rules of every game.
STRIP MANIA
The board is filled with squares made of four small triangles of different colors. Your goal is to
turn the squares clockwise or in another direction thus forming figures containing four or more
triangles of the same color, that will then disappear. You may use CW/CCW button with arrow
to change the direction of rotation (by default the direction is clockwise - CW).
If you remove a whole column, it won't come to the board again and the score will be doubled.
If all the squares of a certain color are moved off the board the score are doubled too. The
game is over when all the figures are taken off the board or no more moves are possible.
You may use HINT button if you don't know which square to move. Watching Demo will help you
to understand the rules of every game.
SHIFT MANIA
The scene is like in the previous game but as soon as you make a move or a figure disappears, one
new small triangle will fall into the line at the bottom. When this line is full it will be lifted
to your board and a new game round will begin. If you remove all the triangles of some color, say
red, no more red triangles will appear on the board and all red triangles will be removed from the
bottom line. The game is over if the squares reach the top of the board or no more moves are possible.
TIME MANIA
The board and the rules are just like in the previous games, but here the line at the bottom is
gradually filling with triangles that form squares. You should move off the board as many squares
as possible before the line at the bottom is filled up with squares - this line will be added to
the board. The game is over when the squares reach the top of the board or no more moves are possible.
Score calculation
The points for removed figures are calculated in the following way. You receive 2 points for
the first triangle, 4 points for the second triangle, 6 points for third triangle, 8 points for
fourth triangle, and so on.
Color shoot-out
If you remove all the triangles of some color, say red, no more red triangles will appear on the
board and all red triangles will be removed from the bottom line. This will simplify the game.
Bonus
If you remove a whole column the score will be doubled. If all the squares of a certain color
are moved off the board the score are doubled too.

Splash screen
Window "Pick Game"
You can call Pick Game right from the game, clicking the PickGame button in "Menu" window.
It also appears at first launching of the game. In this window you can change the game type.
To select the game type just tap on small game field below the game legend (strip mania, shift
mania or time mania). In small game field you can watch the preview of the selected game type.
- STRIP MANIA - select the Stip Mania game
- SHIFT MANIA - select the Shifr Mania game
- TIME MANIA - select the Time Mania game
Window "Menu"
You can call Menu right from the game, clicking the button
Menu 
on your
device. It also appears at launching of the game.
- CONTINUE - appears if you have an unfinished game
- NEW GAME - launches new game. Attention! If the game is not finished it will be interrupted
without any warning. Be careful not to lose your game. Also, there is option AUTORUN for game
(see below)
- PICK GAME - games list to choose
- OPTIONS - game options
- DEMO - launch game in demonstration mode
- HELP - here you can receive short help and information about us
- TOP 10 - here your best results, which you can publish on the net, are stored
- BUY ME - information how to register the game (*)
- REGISTER - the form for entering the registration info (*)
- EXIT - to quit the game (you can quit the game clicking the button applications
from any window of the program)
(*) - these items will be removed from the Menu after registration
Attention! All windows except the main one are
dialogs. You can leave them using buttons

Window "Effects"
There is a possibility of slow run on 33 MHz processor devices.
For run acceleration, you can set up as low or turn off graphics effects.
Game and interface effects change independently. There are three modes of effect entrance:
- OFF - all effects turn off (all windows appear and disappear right away)
- LOW - minimum effects (windows appear and disappear with animation by symbols)
- HIGH - all effect turn on
Also you can change effects in the "OPTIONS" window. This window will appear every start of
the game. To turn off this window, set up flag DO NOT SHOW AGAIN. You can to turn on it
again in "OPTIONS" window.
Window "Options"
You can set up your preferences in the window "OPTIONS". To change
the option's value, just click the appropriate option name
- SKILL LEVEL - here you can change the game level (novice, expert, master) (*)
- SKINS - here you can change the skins of the triangles
- SOUND - here you can enable or disable the sound
- MUSIC - here you can enable or disable the background music(**)
- VOLUME - here you can tune the sound volume (low, medium, high)
- INTERFACE EFFECTS - here you can change the interface effects (off, low, high).
- GAME EFFECTS - here you can change the game effects (off, low, high).
- EFFECTS REMINDER - turn on/turn off appearing of effects window on the every start of the game.
- AUTORUN - the option that allows you to start the game without the splash screen
and menu (after the program launching you go directly to the playing field) (*)
(*) - these options are active in the registered version of the game.
(**) - these options are available on the SONY CLIE devices only.
Window "TOP 10"
You can look at best game results in this window.
- STRIP MANIA/SHIFT MANIA/TIME MANIA - this button displays the results for different game types
- NOVICE/EXPERT/MASTER - this button displays the results for different skill levels

- PUBLISH - this button opens the window with the code for
publishing the best result on the Web
Window "PUBLISH"
Shows the information needed to publish the best result in the
chosen level on the Web. Attention! Please be careful when
filling the code in the publish form at our site.
Window "Help"
To see the next page in the help you can tap 'NEXT' button or press PageDown/JogDown key.
To see the previous page in the help you can tap 'PREV' button or press PageUp/JogUp key.

Window "BUY ME"
It contains the information about where and how you can register
the game. This window appears also as the reminder in the course of
the game, with growing frequency.
Window "REGISTER"
Enter your license information into the form: fill First and
Last names into the first and second lines, respectively, and the
license code into the last one. Two NAME fields has room for 12
characters each, including spaces; if your name, or surname, is
longer just stop when no room is left, the registration code will
still work. Using the virtual keyboard or digitizer, you can enter letters,
digits, a period, a dash, a space and a commercial at.
You can choose the line tapping it with the stylus, the cursor (a blinking dash) will
show the line where you are now. Also you can switch between edit lines by pressing
PageUp/PageDown keys or JogUp/JogDown. When you begin typing, the prompts
(FIRST/LAST NAME, REG CODE) will disappear.
Typing is done by means of the virtual keyboard, where the special
buttons mean:
- BSP - backspace (deletes of the symbol before the cursor)
- CLR - deletes the whole line
- SPACE - space symbol
